Where the idea came from
The spark behind Ownmades wasn't a business plan. It was a frustration and a quiet realisation.
Singapore has one of the most vibrant food cultures in the world. Hawker centres, family recipes passed between generations, communities where food is the primary language of love and belonging. And yet, for all that richness, so much of it remains invisible. The aunty downstairs who makes the best curry puffs in the building. The family whose Sunday nasi lemak is, by all accounts, the stuff of local legend.
