By using our platform as a seller, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

By registering as a seller on our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To become a seller on our platform, you must:

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations
3. Account Registration
  • Account Information: You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and keep your account information up to date.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Use of the Platform
  • Permitted Use: You may use our platform to sell homemade food and beverage items, subject to compliance with these terms and applicable laws.
  • Prohibited Use: You may not use our platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, nor may you, in the use of the service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction.
5. Seller Obligations
  • Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable food safety, health, and licensing regulations.
  • Product Representation: You must accurately describe your products, including ingredients, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
  • Quality and Safety: You are responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of your food products. This includes following proper hygiene practices and preventing cross-contamination.
  • Delivery: You must adhere to promised delivery times and ensure that food is packaged securely and delivered in a presentable condition.
  • Customer Service: You agree to provide courteous and professional customer service and to address any customer complaints promptly and effectively.
6. Fees and Payments
  • Service Fees: Our platform may charge a service fee for transactions. The details of these fees will be provided during the registration process and may be updated from time to time.
  • Payment Processing: Payments for sales made through our platform will be processed by our third-party payment processor. You agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the payment processor.
7. Intellectual Property
  • Platform Ownership: All intellectual property rights in our platform and services are owned by Ownmades or its licensors.
  • Seller Content: You grant Ownmades a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display any content you upload to our platform for the purpose of operating and promoting the service.
8. Termination
  • Termination by You: You may terminate your seller account at any time by providing notice to Ownmades.
  • Termination by Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, without notice, if you violate these terms or if we believe your actions may cause harm to our platform or users.
9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ownmades shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of our platform or inability to access or use the service.
  • Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ownmades, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of our platform or services, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

14. Kitchen Safety

We prioritize the safety of everyone involved. Your kitchen must be a clean and safe environment for food preparation. You'll be required to complete a basic online food safety course covering proper hygiene practices, safe food handling, and storage procedures. For merchants with young children, creating a designated cooking area that minimizes the risk of accidents is crucial.

  • Child Safety: If you have young children at home, ensure they are kept away from the kitchen while you are cooking or baking. Use childproof locks and barriers to prevent accidents.
  • Fire Safety: Always have a fire extinguisher in your kitchen and know how to use it. Never leave cooking unattended and keep flammable items away from the stove.
  • Proper Ventilation: Ensure your kitchen is well-ventilated to avoid the buildup of smoke and harmful fumes.
  • Safe Storage: Store all sharp objects, hot items, and hazardous materials out of reach of children.
15. Hygiene & Proper Food Handling

Maintaining a high standard of hygiene is paramount. This includes proper handwashing, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, using sanitized equipment, and adhering to safe food handling practices to prevent cross-contamination. We recommend attending a local food safety certification course to ensure the highest quality standards.

  • Personal Hygiene: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling any food. Wear clean aprons and avoid cooking if you are unwell.
  • Clean Work Environment: Keep your kitchen and all cooking utensils clean. Sanitize surfaces regularly to prevent the growth of bacteria.
  • Cross Contamination: Use separate cutting boards and knives for raw meat, seafood, and vegetables. Clean all equipment thoroughly between uses.
  • Proper Food Storage: Store ingredients at the correct temperatures to prevent spoilage. Label and date all stored items to ensure freshness.
  • Cooking Temperatures: Cook food to the recommended temperatures to kill harmful bacteria. Use a food thermometer to ensure accuracy.
16. Respectful Working Conditions

Our platform strictly prohibits the forceful assigning of work-related duties to friends, family and other members of your household without offering fair monetary compensation and/or profit-sharing benefits for their time and effort. This includes domestic helpers, tenants, elderly/retired family members and guests

  • No Additional Duties: Domestic helpers should not be given extra work duties related to your business activities. Their employment terms should be strictly adhered to as per the regulations.
  • Respect and Compliance: Ensure that any tasks performed by domestic helpers are within the scope of their agreed duties and comply with employment laws.
17. Courtesy & Kindness For All

Delivering excellent customer service is essential for building a successful business on Ownmades. We encourage you to be kind, polite, and respectful in all interactions with customers. This includes prompt communication, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the ordering process.

  • Customer Interaction: Treat all customers with kindness, politeness, and respect. Communicate clearly and promptly to address any queries or concerns they may have.
  • Respectful Service: Deliver food in a professional manner, ensuring that packaging is clean and presentable. Apologize and offer solutions if there are any issues with the order.
  • Feedback: Welcome constructive feedback from customers and use it to improve your service and offerings.
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle any disputes with customers calmly and professionally. Seek assistance from the platform if needed.
